Autumn is coming early at Michael's

Ok, I just had to share this because I couldn't believe it! I walked into a Michael's yesterday, and to my complete surprise, I saw Fall-colored flowers and bouquets already stacked on the shelves. It was the last thing I was expecting to see considering that it is only early June, but nonetheless, they were there! I recalled that last year in July I was shocked to discover that not only were Fall flowers already out, but Halloween decorations were out as well. The same aisle that houses the Halloween stuff every year had at least half the decorations out, such as the 'Spooky Town' collection of musical haunted houses. Funny that I find Fall already showing up in one of my favorite stores when the weather is so Fall-like. In about a month from now, I will expect to probably find Halloween already showing up on my favorite aisle there. I wonder what cool, new things I will find there this year. I hope I find a bunch of new stuff to bring home and decorate with! I am *so* looking forward to it!

Hey Hey...I am SO happy that you reported in with this fab news. All of us Hallowe'en heads are always keeping an eye out on the stores as summer progresses, waiting to catch the first sign of Hallowe'en merch. And like you...I first started seeing it at Michael's last year in late July/early Aug. So this is a bit early for them. I'm SO EXCITED! Waiting for the Hallowe'en merchandise is the only thing that makes the long, hot, humid Florida summers even bearable. I must go check mine. Thanks again for this...that is the perfect news to get my Hallowe'en creative juices flowing. :o)

My pleasure! I was completely surprised when I saw those fall colors on one side of the store. I thought, "Those are NOT spring/summer colors. They must be Fall!" I couldn't believe it. Now I have to go back every week or so and check back. But I do recall that last year Halloween stuff came in I believe in July. I started buying stuff as soon as it came in, too! lol

Hey...don't know if you all have a store out there called Home Goods. It's sometimes a stand alone, and sometimes it's connected with a TJ Maxx. But they have all home decor items and they also start getting their Hallowe'en stuff out pretty early. The first time I noticed it last year was late July, but it could have come out sooner and I just missed it. They have really nice stuff too, but you have to buy early because it comes and goes fast.

Let's be sure to keep posting as soon as we start finding more. That is one of my FAVORITE things...to run out and see what's new. Sometimes I try to sneak some photos in so I can share what I've found. My friends and I do that all summer just to keep building up the excitemen...ha!

I can't wait to get to my Michael's now...ha ha! I will be there before this day is over! ;o)

Hmmm, Home Goods kinda sounds familiar, but I don't know of one near me. I haven't been back to Michael's yet, but I'm going to try to this weekend. The other place that had tons of cute stuff was TJ Maxx. Do you have one near you?
