I am already sick of it. It's barely even begun, but I am already dreading the 100-plus heat that will be upon us in a matter of weeks. Already, I long for the cool, crisp breeze of autumn, with the sweet scent of dying leaves and smoking chimneys that always accompanies it. I am happy summer is beginning. I am just anxious for it to be over so that my favorite time of year can finally be here again.

I'm with ya on that one. Now that the rain has subsided a bit here in Florida, the heat, humidity and bugs have become almost unbearable. I so long to live in a place that actually has an Autumn season. That is why we travel to New England every that my kids can see what a proper Fall is all about. And I can pretend to be in my version of heaven...'perpetual Autumn'! :o)
