Last week on the Disney Channel was 'Halloween in April'. I discovered this about halfway through the week, unfortunately. Nonetheless, it was exciting to see that Halloween has become popular enough that even a major company like Disney would devote an entire week to Halloween shows! It occurred to me that we are now about halfway until Halloween's arrival. It almost seems like October around here lately. The weather has been more like Fall than Spring, raining a lot, and so chilly that we've been wearing sweaters and jackets again. I love it when I get a taste of October and it's still a few months away. If only the stores were filled with Halloween goodies, and porches cluttered with grinning pumpkins!

Aw...I wish I had caught that on the Disney channel. I don't even know how I didn't considering it's always on in our house. And I agree it's been cool in Florida too. The half way point indeed! :o)
I completely missed that too. (Not that I ever watch the Disney channel :D) I agree with you that it is great that the holiday is becoming more popular!!! Yeah!
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
I rarely watch it, either, unless it's around Halloween time. I admit that I do enjoy watching some of the shows that come on that channel--even if they are aimed at kids! (I guess I'm a kid at heart, eh?) ;) I was browsing the TV guide and saw that 'Halloweentown' was on. It was then that I realized they were doing Halloween in April. I thought that was so cool.
And yes, we are at about the halfway point! I always love that. :)
Y'know, I saw a promo for this when my kids were watching (like y'all, it's ALWAYS on in our house), and even made a note to check the listings to see what was going to be on...then somehow completely forgot about it!!! Arrrgh!
I think it's continuing, but I don't know for how long. The website only listed Halloween shows through April 12, but there have been shows on all week. It would be cool if they did it all month, but I doubt they do. I'll have to check the guide later and see if anything is on tonight. I've really been enjoying it, though! So cool to see Halloween stuff on tv when it's not even October! :)
There is Walpurgis Nacht in May that is an almost Halloween holiday. It can certainly be a feast to celebrate when one has difficulties to wait for the 31st of October.
Walpurgis Nacht? Never heard of it. I'll have to look that one up! Anything that's even remotely Halloween-related, I am always interested in. Thanks! :)
Ok, I see that it is my kind of holiday, as it usually involves bonfires! How wonderful! I wish it was celebrated around here. Here's some info.:
